  I had contemplated upgrading my bike for a while and checked out my options around the Northside of Chicago and Southeast Wisconsin. Running Away seemed to offer everything I'd be looking for, including a USAT-qualified instructor in Brian and a very knowledgeable lead mechanic in Peter. Their descriptions alone on the webpage made it feel like the type of store anyone could pop in and get treated like a neighbor. However, after calling around and looking online at Felt bikes, it looked like I was going to have to settle on the standard paint scheme for whichever IA model I was going to choose - until Brian stepped in. He took care of the bike fitting and contacting potential vendors to coordinate my desired paint scheme. Before I knew it, my frame was in the shop and off to the vendor to add my desired design. Even though the holidays were mixed in the timeframe of fitting, ordering, and painting, the whole process only took about three (3) weeks. I was back into their Deerfield shop in no time thanks to Peter's speedy assembly. He even accommodated me by throwing on some new 808's that day since my old wheels weren't 11-speed compatible. I couldn't have been happier with the overall experience from day 1 and would recommend their shop to others looking for a new bike, a fitting, or even regular maintenance. Plus, they sell all kinds of gear and accessories. Thanks again for all that you did for me, fellas!

  They know their products and they take a consultative approach to helping you find the right fit. The selection is extensive. They also have a running group on Tuesday and Saturday mornings that helps unmotivated runners like me get out of bed and log miles. Tracy does a great job organizing the group and keeping things light. UPDATE: The store re-opened in December 2017 after an extensive remodel. They no longer sell the high end bicycles.

  You have to see Jeff!! He went above and beyond what no other employee ever would!! Jeff was professional, courteous and just an all around great asset to this industry! I highly recommend this location! 5+ Stars!!
